Finding the Right Technological Solutions
Our technology innovation studio led the project by introducing the latest and most relevant
technological and medical equipment solutions. We conducted an immersive technology visioning
workshop with the owner and design team, using a “moonshot” exercise to explore bold,
transformative ideas and emerging healthcare technologies to meet project goals.
With a clear vision in place, we oversaw the selection, procurement, and installation of all
technology systems, IT, and medical equipment. Weekly on-site presence ensured seamless
integration and testing, tracked efficiently via a digital equipment database and detailed
drawings.
Key technological solutions included care view cameras for enhanced patient safety in behavioral
health rooms, the Aceso patient information system, Vocera clinical communication system, a
digital donor recognition wall, and a digital history showcase wall.
A Multi-Disciplined Approach
To safeguard the project schedule and budget, our technology and commissioning teams
collaborated closely with the design and construction teams at every phase. Early commissioning
insights helped anticipate potential issues and requirements well before construction
completion.
Our deliverables included design reviews during the Design Development and Construction Document
phases, commissioning specifications, functional performance testing guidance, and documentation
for all campus HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building envelope systems. A comprehensive
commissioning report summarized all activities and data for Baptist Health Care and the design
team.
Transformed for the Future Disciplined Approach
The completed, state-of-the-art Brent Lane campus is now able to provide the community a full
range of services—including imaging services, 15 ORs, Cath and EP services, emergency
department, central sterile processing department, dialysis, inpatient units, pharmacy,
respiratory therapy, rehab, women’s health services, behavioral health services, infusion
center, bariatric weight loss, cardiology clinic, primary care, ENT clinic, radiation, and
medical oncology services.
As one of the most comprehensive medical centers in the region, Baptist Health Care’s
award-winning Brent Lane campus has elevated the available standard of care and increased
capacity to serve thousands of patients across care areas.
